Cross Country
We can offer a cross country course of approximately 60 fences including;

The entire cross country area has up to 60 fences with excellent viewing , the jumps range in size from 60cm through to 1.10m. Ideal for teaching and used by many riding clubs, pony clubs and British Eventing Clinics.
The course has been designed by British Eventing Accredited designer Simon Bere, who is also a technical delegate for British Eventing.
With further design and input from Dom Moore of Jumps One. A local accredited course builder and designer with close links to Eric Winter.
Built with locally sourced timber and all the materials are up cycled in origin. Much thought has been given to how they can embellish the work our designers.
The location has been specifically chosen for the drainage of the old turf to provide consistent and secure footing with good grass coverage throughout the year. With strong emphasis placed on eco management of the ground to include rotational sheep grazing to keep machinery intervention at a minimum.
We ask that every rider wears a British Eventing approved crash hat and body protector. They use the facility entirely at their own risk. They are accompanied by another adult.
The use of the cross country schooling course can only be used by prior arrangement.
There are all weather approaches and landings at some jump complexes, we hope to add to these over time. The cross country area is fully enclosed, the gates must be shut at all times.
The site is owned by The Cricket St Thomas Estate and the farming is sheep orientated. Please keep all dogs on leads at all times. Visitors co operation is appreciated. Thank you.
There is ample parking adjacent to the course, we would recommend that you keep all vehicles locked. There is also good mobile phone coverage. Please stick to our access and departure routes to avoid blockages and inconvenience to visitors and our neighbours! Thank you.
